What is a .arc name?
A .arc name is an on-chain record that maps a readable label to an address on Arc Chain. Send to arc.arc instead of a 42-character string, and point the same name at your profile, avatar and socials.
Registration
Names are priced by length: $640/yr for three characters, $160/yr for four, and $5/yr for five or more. Pay in ETH or USDG. Minimum three characters, letters, numbers and emoji allowed.
Renewals and grace period
Registration is annual. After expiry a 90-day grace period keeps the name reserved for you; once it lapses the name returns to the open market.
Records
Each name carries a record set: address, avatar, description and social handles. Records are stored on-chain and resolve instantly through the arc resolver.
Reselling
List any name you own on the arc market. Sales settle in about two seconds for under a cent in gas, with the transfer executed atomically.
Contracts
Registry, registrar and resolver contracts are deployed on Arc Chain (id 4663) and verified on the explorer. All source is public.
